Tim Byrd started DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and we have been helping dealers to expand their F&I programs to be more efficient and profitable ever since. DealerRE is a family company that is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the word of God. Today, we help dealers from coast to coast to establish and manage their own administrator obligor reinsurance companies to replace third party and manufacturer F&I products. In the BHPH space, DealerRE helps dealers to build admin obligor reinsurance programs to protect their cars from mechanical breakdown and insurance losses funded by their customer base. Our mission is to serve and educate car dealers across the country to utilize reinsurance to be a better dealer, to better serve their customers, and improve their business and personal financial well-being. We have been helping dealers with reinsurance for decades and have the experience to help our clients build the programs that are going to help them to be as profitable and successful as possible.
Founder & CEO
Tim Byrd is Founder and CEO of DealerRE, and an auto industry expert in Reinsurance, BHPH Operations, and Dealership and F&I Development. As a 30+ year veteran of the car business, Tim is a trusted advisor to many car dealers. Tim has appeared on Auto Dealer Live and has been featured many times in Dealer Solutions Magazine, The Virginia Independent News, Around the Commonwealth, The BHPH Report, DealerELITE.net, the Dealer Business Journal, AutoSuccess Magazine and NIADA’s BHPH Dealer Magazine. Tim is a sought after speaker and co-author of 3 #1 Best Selling books Unfair Advantage, Race to the Finish Line and Race to the Finish Line 2. But, first and foremost, Tim is a Christian man whose values, he strives, are a reflection of those of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the proud father of eight children, and lives in Gloucester, Virginia with his beautiful wife, Jennifer.

Before Parker began his career with DealerRE in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as an F & I Manager as well as a Salesman. The experience he gained gives him the unique advantage of being able to relate to our clients in today’s modern dealership. “I know the challenges dealers face each day. With this knowledge, I plan on bringing a different perspective to DealerRE, and together, helping you grow your business.” In 2015 Parker enlisted into the Army Reserves as a CH-47 Mechanic. After a year and a half of enlistment and education, he became a Crew-Chief on CH-47 Helicopters. He is now pursuing his degree in Business Administration. Parker is happily married to his high school sweetheart and resides in Tappahannock, Virginia.

Heather earned her MBA in 2012. The following year she began her career with DealerRE. “It was obvious that DealerRE has the exceptional culture and products that allow me to pour my heart into. I feel blessed to be in a position where ‘work’ is simply doing what I’ve always dreamed – helping others build their business to the next level!” Her commitment to our clients is evident from the minute she picks up the phone and has even earned her the title of “Office Queen”. Heather is the mother of two grown boys. In her free time, she enjoys doing charity work to include volunteering with the homeless and food insecure. She holds office on The VIADA Ladies Auxiliary and her church, as Secretary for both.
VP of Sales and Marketing
With a passion to see individuals and businesses reach their highest potential, Kristi Cashman came to DealerRE with proven talents to help people do just that. With a degree in Strategic Management and Marketing, Kristi understands what it takes for businesses to optimize their efficiency, productivity and profit potentials. Kristi is the author of two books, Focus and You Are Perfect. She is a wife and mother to 5 fabulous kids. In her spare time, she speaks at women’s conferences and seminars.

Brenda West has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and also has a financial background working as F&I Manager at a very successful Dealership.

Brenda grew up in Yorktown VA but now makes Locust Hill VA her home. Brenda has two grown sons that are a huge part of her life.

Ryleigh joined the team of DealerRE in 2020 after graduating high school a year early. Her desire to help others makes her a valued addition to the Team. “I enjoy the opportunity to speak with clients from all over the country and to make sure they have the supplies they need to be successful. Every day presents a new learning opportunity and I enjoy the challenge.” Ryleigh has always had a passion for animals. She grew up helping her family raise puppies and just recently has become a foster mother to bottle kittens. She resides in Gloucester, VA with her two “fur-children”, Charley, the Aussie, and Sebastian, the temperamental cat.
Sales Associate
Courtney joined the DealerRE Team in 2023. She brought with her the skills she developed while working in Property Management. “I’ve always loved working with people and seeing them realize their dreams and goals.” Her organization and attention to detail makes her the perfect person to assist dealers while forming their new companies.
Courtney and her husband, Chris, make their home in Gloucester, VA where they enjoy fishing and spending time with their dogs, Samson and Bailey. She is active in her church and loves spending time with her Worship Family.
